Optical Fiber Sensor for Oxytetracycline Based on Anthrancen-containing Copolymer
An anthrancen-containing copolymer prepared from 9-anthrylmethylmethacrylate, methyl methacrlate, and n-butylacrylate was used as sensing material for oxytetracycline.The sensing mechanism is based on the fact that oxytetracycline can reversibly quench the fluorescence of the optode membrane of the copolymer.The proposed sensor is folly reversible and highly reproducible and exhibits a linear response to oxytetracycline in the range of 2.0×10-7-2.0×10-4mol/L with response and recovery times less than 30s.The sensor shows good Selectivity over alkali and alkali-earth metal salts and some common pharmaceutical species and can be used for the determination of oxytetracycline in pharmaceutical preparations.
