Simultaneous Determination of Tungsten(Ⅵ) and Molybdenum (Ⅵ) by Principal Component Regression and Masking Agent
A kinetic method for simultaneous determination of Mo (Ⅵ) and W(Ⅵ) catalysts is proposed. Based on the difference in rate or degree of a masking reaction between catalyst and masking agent, catalyst with similar chemical property can be determined through a single kinetic run. This method can also be used even if the masking reaction is very fast or reverse. As an example, based on the catalytic effects of MO(Ⅵ) and W(Ⅵ) on the reaction between KI and H2O2 the mixture of both catalysts were determined simultaneously by using citric arid as a masking agent and principal component regression as the multivariate calibration method. In the reaction process, the change of the potential of iodine ion selective electrode with time was synchronously recorded by a computer.
