Divinylbenzene-Vinylpyrrolidone Copolymer Silica Packing for Chromatographic Separation of Proteins
A novel reversed-phase chromatographic packing for protein separation is described. First diethoxymethylvinylsilane was bonded to silica gel, then the divinylbenzene (DVB) and vinylpyrrolidone (VPD) were copolymerized on the silica gel to produce a packing with network-structured surface and retains the wide-pore structure of the matrix.Good selectivity and separation ability of the synthesized packing toward proteins were demonstated in the reversed-phase chromatographic mode,Seven proteins attained baseline separation within 18 min. It is able to separate biopolymer quickly.
